Nation Of Droids is a live drum & bass band from Brussels, Belgium. We play drums, guitar, & harmonica/melodica, obviously with loads of effects.
We tend to borrow elements from drum & bass, ambient, jazz, dub & soundscapes.
Think sci-fi, lo-fi, unsequenced organic sounds. Our creative process is based on improvisation, building a language from all those sounds.

Drums
First trained in the visual arts at the Beaux-Arts in Brussels, Regis Geeraerts turned to music as a professional activity. Drummer, but also playing the guitar, he hasworked with many artists, in multiple styles ranging from jazz big-band (Yellowgreen Big Band) to reggae (Jupiter and Ma Shi Faï), to ska-punk (Joystix), or experimental music (Laurent Taquin), street theatre (Caravane du Zoublistan), electro (Digital Nooba, Mellocotam) or French chanson (Isabelle Antenna).

Has worked with Belgian sound systems since 2000, spicing up roots-reggae, dub, breaks, d&b and dubstep with a bluesy feeling. Co-founder of Plynt Records and of Jupiter & Ma Shi Faï (reggae). A regular guest at BunZer0’s FOB show on sub.fm. Lately also working with: Jo&Reg and Rojah Lao.
J01got a dozen of tracks released under his Mr Jo alter ego with producers from Belgium, France, the UK, and the US, on various global labels.
